Inflatable Structure installed for BBC Tour

I was lucky enough to pitch for this tour with Evolution Dome for a large production company where a temporary structure was needed. Having been give the brief it was clear one of our Inflatable Structure’s was going to work well with the tight dead lines given to install and de-rig the structure.

The first problem i faced was which was going to be the best suited for the event and which Inflatable structure was really going to catch the clients eye……..

There was a few option here with the size constraints such as linking some of our 14m Domes together to create a large enough space with different break out areas but having looked at what had previously been done at these events we felt this would be the safe option.

We wanted to stretch the imagination but keep it within budget and within the site size constraints. Myself and the team at Evolution Dome come up with this clever, versatile and stunning solution………………..

The Mound Edinburgh

BANG there it is…..The is the Turtle GTS Bone – 2 Shells

With all of the constraints with size size we couldn’t use the complete system but by taking the two Turtle shells of the back we was able to create a great space  and fit it in the tight spot we was given. This created the perfect space for this type of event. With one Turtle Shell playing entrance and the other being used as the exit the  Inflatable Structure had a foot fall of over 18,000 people. This created a perfect environment where the visitors could walk round, interact, and see everything with ease and enabled the production company to keep a steady constant flow  though and the public safe.

Inflatable Structure

Illuminated at night this structure created a great focal point for everybody in Edinburgh and really did look impressive on The Mound.
